Outcomes of the recent public consultation into Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander crime data needs

The Crime Statistics Agency (CSA) has finalised the community consultation about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander crime data needs with a focus on Victoria Police contact data. The CSA is pleased to release the final findings, as identified by community and those who work in the field, in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Crime Data Needs Assessment paper.

We give our gratitude to the many Aboriginal people who generously contributed their wisdom, experience, expertise and cultural insights during the consultation. We also thank the Koori Justice Unit, Family Safety Victoria, the Dhelk Dja and Aboriginal Justice Forums who all contributed to the outcomes of this work.
